12 countries. 12 months. Your pace.
A rolling journey around the world — designed for people who've earned their freedom and want to spend it well. Not a tour. Not another holiday. Something with more texture than that.
It moves chapter to chapter through regions, stays long enough to actually feel somewhere, and keeps going whether you're on it or not. Join when you're ready. Leave when you need to. Come back when the pull gets strong enough.
Think of it less like a trip, more like living abroad for a while — with ready-made company when you want it, and all the freedom to disappear when you don't.
Join one or all twelve. The relay doesn't wait — but it always has a place for you.
Each chapter is designed so most of your time is genuinely yours — with just enough structure, company and support to take the admin off your plate.
3–4 hubs per chapter, each worth weeks not days. Enough time to find your favourite coffee spot, unpack properly, and actually feel somewhere.
Once a week on average, we organise something properly good — designed to show off a region at its best. You'd be mad to skip them. But that's your call.
Great villas and boutique hotels. Beautiful, calm, and close enough to each other that finding someone for dinner is never a mission.
6–12 people we select. Everyone 50+, good craic, and there because they want the same thing as you. Introduced on WhatsApp a week before each chapter.
We don't do transfers when we can do something better. In Laos, that's the 2-day slow boat. In Japan, it's the night train. Getting there matters.
Someone on WhatsApp when you need it. Airport collection at every chapter. Logistics sorted. Otherwise, you're left to your own devices — as it should be.
"I've been looking for this for 10 years. Nothing spoke to me until DECADES."
— Kay, 65, Worcestershire
Handpicked to immerse you in a region. Not activities bolted on — they're the reason you went.
Pedal through jungle paths as light breaks over one of humanity's greatest achievements. No crowds. Just birds and bicycle wheels.
Sleep within temple walls. Join the monks at dawn prayers. Two days of rare quiet in the modern world.
Climb on the back. Let a local driver take you through mountain passes and rice paddies no tour bus can reach.
The Salar de Uyuni at sunrise — a mirror of sky and salt to every horizon. Some things only make sense when you're there.
Deep in the mountains as the maples turn. Private onsen. Kaiseki dinner. The kind of evening that stays with you for years.
Down the river on a wooden vessel. Watch riverbank life unfold. Arrive somewhere slowly, the way travel used to work.
Our Pioneers have spent a lifetime working and looking after others. Average age 65, as young as late fifties, up to early eighties. Half men, half women. All done with ordinary holidays.
"I couldn't believe it when I saw the ad — I was so excited I couldn't sleep! Couldn't have been smoother. Lots of laughs already."
"I want to get back to the travel I used to love. DECADES is perfect because of the mix of adventure, safety and comfort."
"I've been looking for something in between independent travel and group tours. I think I've found it."
The Epic is designed to feel effortless. Here's what that looks like in practice.
